Saturday, May 14
Noon (note time!)

The Perpich Center for Arts Education High School
Music, dance, literature, and theater students present, "...And Only The Land Shall Remain." The performance is inspired by Minnesota writer Will Weaver's short story, "Gravestone Made of Wheat," which students studied prior to creating music, poetry, dance, and theater for the performance based on themes of ritual seen in the story.

The Terrace setting is a key element of the performance, altering the way in which the performance is perceived. Does it look different while standing and listening within the landscape of west central Minnesota? The landscape is transformed, literally, into the performers' playground as they move about the defined landscape of Pope Art, a landscape which has its ultimate roots in the memory of the piece's given time and space, circa 1920.
